Social Bookmarking
Well, it definitely takes longer than 30 minutes to do this exercise. I don't think the new search engines are going to break my Google habit. I did find out about a concert I'm very interested in by using Kart00, but I think I would've found it on Google too. The font size in Kart00 is very small and fuzzy. Didn't like it much. The others I tried were okay, but I think I'd just narrow my search with keywords instead of looking at the subject clusters. Habit I guess.

Library 2.0
Sometimes I wonder how many people are really making use of the social networking tools in terms of libraries. Are they just clicking on a link out of curiosity and are they getting anything out of it when they do? I think it's too soon to tell. However, there are a lot of 23 Things programs, workshops, etc. about Libraries 2.0 and I wonder if a lot of the hits on some sites are from library employees! I think after some time when people are able to study the effects and uses of these tools, we'll have an idea of how effective they are. It's definitely something we have to explore and use because students always want info online. It may take a while to discover which tools are the most effective and which will fall by the wayside. Plus discovering the best ways to use them...
